Who We Are

Following the vision of our founders, David Lipscomb and James A. Harding, the educational experience at Lipscomb remains anchored in a rich academic experience characterized by deep spiritual formation. We believe understanding who you are in Christ informs how you discern and live out your calling.

“Christian” is not simply a category for us—it is everything. Every aspect of Lipscomb is rooted in Christ, bound by the truth, inspired by His calling.

As we lead in our communities, our cities and our world, we pursue an excellence that can only come from God. Confident in this mission, we develop leaders who live with significance and purpose, driven by a shared desire to offer all they have to positively change the world for good.

As we serve, we uncover and magnify the light that exists within each person. We call forth the intrinsic value in our students, and in turn equip them to do the same as they step out to lead lives marked by service.

As we seek to continually innovate the educational landscape, we prepare our students with more than intelligence—we offer them a vision that lights the way forward. We see the incredible possibilities surrounding us as opportunities to bless the world God gave us.

At Lipscomb, it’s not about what we can give to you. We help you discover what’s already shining and magnify the best in you. That’s why we believe all you bring that makes all the difference.

What We Believe

Our leadership affirmed Lipscomb’s Christian heritage and commitment by adopting the Centering Core as a statement of faith to unify the campus community and follows the footsteps of our founders in embracing Biblical truth.
