Civil Mediation Training
Next Training Dates:

Completion of the course requires attendance of both full weekends of class. The cost of this 6-day (40-hour) professional course is $1,249 and includes all materials and meals. For participants also seeking CLE credit, there will be a special additional fee of $250. Meals and snacks/coffee will be served.
About the instructor
With over 30 years experience in the field, Tracy Allen is an internationally recognized mediator, arbitrator and ADR trainer. As a former litigator and business tax attorney, Allen brings a wide range of experience to her teaching and lecturing in the field of ADR.
Ms. Allen’s ADR practice is heavily focused on national and international commercial and business disputes involving financial, securities, HR and employment, health care, real estate, and public policy matters. Allen has also been involved in many complex and multi-party mediations. Annually, she conducts many basic and advanced conflict prevention, management, communication skills, civility, mediation and arbitration trainings worldwide for companies, advocates, mediators, arbitrators, and the judiciary.
She is a distinguished fellow emeritus of the International Academy of Mediators and served as president during the 2005-2006 fiscal year. She has been appointed to and served on specialized national and international mediation and arbitration panels, including the AAA, FINRA, ICC, CPR Distinguished Panel of Neutrals, WIPO, American Health Lawyers Association. In addition to her role as a distinguished professor at Lipscomb University’s Institute for Conflict Management, she is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. She resides and maintains her business at her Michigan office.
Family Mediation Training

Completion of this course requires attendance of both full weekends of class in order to receive a certificate. Each day begins with continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and training from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with lunch and snacks provided.
Before considering this training, it is imperative that prospective family mediation students read and understand the education and experience requirements set forth by Rule 31, Section 14 of the State of Tennessee Supreme Court and Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission.
The cost of the complete Family Mediation 6-day (46-hour) professional course is $1249 and includes all materials and meals. For participants also seeking CLE credit, there will be a special additional fee of $250.
The cost of Rule 31 Crossover 4-day (30-hour) professional course is $849 and includes all materials and meals. For participants also seeking CLE credit, there will be a special additional fee of $250.
About the instructor
With over 30 years experience in the ADR field, Dr. Cynthia Greer brings extensive knowledge and tools to her teaching. Dr. Greer has conducted over 1,350 mediations, specializing in employment-related issues, educational issues, elder and end-of life-issues, and family/divorce issues.
With a master’s degree in dispute resolution from Pepperdine School of Law, a doctorate in organizational management from Pepperdine University, and a master’s in counseling and psychology from Georgia State University, Dr. Greer is uniquely qualified to teach family and domestic relations mediation.
In addition to her family mediation practice, she has also developed ADR systems for non-profit, governmental and private organizations. She was a mediator and trainer for the U.S. Postal Service which strictly follows transformative mediation techniques. For 17 years, she was an assistant and associate dean at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, CA, and also spent 10 years as director and senior mediator at the California Academy of Mediation Professionals in Encino, CA. She continues to be an adjunct professor at Pepperdine where she has taught since 1988, in addition to teaching at Lipscomb University’s Institute for Conflict Management.
Domestic Violence Training

Completion of this course requires attendance of class Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in order to receive a certificate. Friday begins with continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and training from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with lunch and snacks provided. Saturday begins with breakfast at 8 a.m. and training from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m.
The cost of this 2-day (12-hour) professional course is $595 and includes all materials and meals. Completion of the course requires attendance during both full days. Meals and snacks/coffee will be served.
