Lipscomb Educator Scholars

Future teachers and educators pursuing an undergraduate degree are invited to apply for scholarship opportunities through the College of Education. Become a candidate through this single-application process.

When you give to the community, Lipscomb wants to give back to you. The College of Education is committed to making higher education accessible for future educators. Scholarship opportunities through this program range up to full-tuition. 

The Lipscomb Educator Scholars program is for high school students who:

  • Desire to attend Lipscomb University
  • Aspire to become a teacher
  • Are eligible to work in the United States
  • Have a 2.75 weighted GPA
  • Apply by February 14, 2024**

*Please note that some scholarships require a composite score of a 21 on the ACT. However, all students are encouraged to apply regardless of their ACT score.

** Due to the changes in the FAFSA form this year and its impact on financial aid processing timelines, we will have additional flexibility in our application date. We encourage candidates to contact us up through March 25th to see if they can still fit into our interview process.

Important Dates 

Priority Application Deadline

December 1, 2023
Students who wish to be considered to interview early and be notified early should complete their scholarship application by this date. Students must have a completed Lipscomb application for admission at this time in order to be selected for priority consideration. Students who are selected for priority consideration will be interviewed in December and be notified about their scholarship award in late January.

Final Application Deadline

February 14, 2024*
Students should complete the Lipscomb Educator Scholars application by this date in order to be considered for Lipscomb Educator scholarships.

Interview Days 

Lipscomb's College of Education faculty and staff will review applications and schedule interviews with candidates on dates that range from Feb 29th through April 10th depending on the scholarship for which a student is eligible. Back up interview days are available and run through late April.

Metro Nashville students will interview on Thurs Feb 29th.

Notification 

April 3, 2024
Metro Nashville applicants will receive notification of their scholarship status from Lipscomb's College of Education.

Students from other districts will receive notification two weeks after interviewing.

Final Acceptance Deadline 

May 1, 2024
Scholarship recipients have until this date to accept or decline their scholarship for the Fall 2024 semester.
