Student Spotlight - Kiana Rafiei

August 15, 2019

Kiana Rafiei

Meet Kiana, a sophomore undecided major. She was born in Iran and moved to Nashville when she was 5 years old. One of her goals for the future is to find a career that allows her to help people and impact them in a positive light.

Why did I choose Lipscomb?: I chose to come to lipscomb because of the Pharmacy program here, which is what my intended major was. I also liked the vibe of the school when I first came here.

Advice to Lipscomb students: Something I’ve always gone by is, treat everyone around you with kindness and with the same energy you would want yourself to be treated. I have taken this advice with me throughout everything I do in life.

Something to Share: Somethings that are interesting are that I was not born here, I can play the euphonium (baby tuba), I can paint, and I knit.

How are you involved on campus?: I am involved in the Black Student Union, Diverse Student Coalition, and in the OID.
