    Meet Deranique, a Junior Biology Major and Spanish Minor. She’s lived all around the world, but currently resides in Sacile, Italy. Upon graduation, she plans to go to medical school to be an OB/GYN.

    Advice to Lipscomb students: College can tough for so many reasons, so give yourself a break, remember why you came to college, and cherish every moment.

    What are you involved in at Lipscomb?

    I am the president of BSU, a PAC Member, a member of IHS, Tri Beta Honor Society, and a student worker in the SALT Office.

    I am involved in Lipscomb Admissions as a tour guide and the OID Black History Month committee!

    Advice to Lipscomb students: Don't get too caught up in studying and forget to take care of yourself. Self care and allowing time for yourself is important if you want to perform at your best.

    What are you involved in at Lipscomb? I am a Pre-pharmacy member, a student employee for OID and a member of the Black Student Union.

  • Student Spotlight - Joshua Hanslip

    Meet Joshua a Senior mechanical engineering major from Florida. His family is Jamaican and Dominican. He plans to pursue a career in Automotive Design.

    Why did I choose Lipscomb?: The Engineering program was accredited which put it on my radar. Upon my visit I met my advisor and the Dean of Engineering who were amazing to both me and my family. I could tell this would be a place where I could not only accept a great challenge academically but also grow in my faith and make it my own.
