News - Roll, Red, Roll Poster

On Wednesday, Feb 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Ward Hall, HumanDocs, in special partnership with Lipscomb's Office of Risk Management, presents Roll, Red, Roll. A brief panel discussion will follow the feature presentation.

Hosted by Lipscomb's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, HumanDocs presents quality documentaries exploring vital issues of social justice. The series is grateful for its ongoing partnership with the Lipscomb Honors College.

Roll, Red, Roll documents a shocking sexual assault by members of a revered Steubenville team. The assault, along with the images of it freely shared on social media, generated national controversy.
Painstakingly recounting the assault, the documentary peers beneath the incident's troubling surface to difficult questions underneath. What values in our society still allow us to blame victims and insist boys must be boys?

The panel consist of:
--Kathy Hargis, Title IX Coordinator and Associate Vice President for Risk Management and Compliance at Lipscomb University
--Andrea Mills, assistant director of Lipscomb University's Counseling Center
--Kayce Matthews, director of Coalition for Healthy and Safe Campus Communities
--Brandi Kellett (moderator), a professor of English and Modern Languages at Lipscomb University

The screening and panel are free and open to the public.

Roll, Red, Roll contains graphic depictions and descriptions of sexual assault.Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
