If you are a high school junior or senior seeking to enroll in courses at Lipscomb University while simultaneously being enrolled in courses at your high school, we have a dual enrollment option.
Select high schools in Middle Tennessee partner with Lipscomb to offer juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit while completing courses in high school, at a lower tuition fee. These high schools include:
- Goodpasture Christian School
- Nashville Christian School
- Middle Tennessee Christian School
- Friendship Christian School
In addition, homeschooled students and students from local high schools may have the opportunity to come to Lipscomb’s campus to take classes.
To be considered for a dual enrollment class, you must have a 2.5 GPA and an ACT composite of 21, or the SAT equivalent. You must be admitted to the university by August 1 for fall semester and December 1 for spring semester.
Prerequisites vary by the course chosen and must be met prior to registration. You must earn a “C” or higher in the dual enrollment classes to continue with additional courses in that subject area.
Fees
Fees are waived for students participating in Lipscomb's dual enrollment program at a partner school. Students wishing to take on-campus dual enrollment classes will pay the regular $50 application fee.
The application is valid for one year and can be used to enroll in courses during this one-year period. A new application form is required every 12 months.
