Bisons headed to UNCG for Saturday NIT date

It's official. Lipscomb will travel back to North Carolina on Saturday to take on UNC Greensboro in the second round of the NIT.

Kenny Cooper had 8 points and 6 assists as the Bisons defeated Davidson in the first round of the NIT March 19.

The Bisons (26-7) and top seeded Spartans (29-6) are set to tip off at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN. 

Tickets will go on sale Thursday at 11 a.m. CT and can be purchased HERE. All ticket sales for this game will be General Admission only at $12 each, while ages 2 and under are free. 

Saturday's winner will move on to the quarterfinals where they will face either NC State, Georgetown or Harvard on March 26-27. 

Lipscomb advanced to the next round with its first-ever postseason win Tuesday, 89-81, over Davidson.

Led by junior Michael Buckland's 19 points, the Bisons had to complete a second-half comeback against the Wildcats to keep their season alive.

UNCG, the first team left out of the NCAA Tournament, knocked off Campbell 84-69 in front of 4,459 fans at the Greensboro Coliseum. Isaiah Miller led the way with 25 points for UNCG, while Fancis Alonso Demetrius Troy added 22 and 14, respectively.
