Lipscomb’s IDEAL (Igniting the Dream of Education and Access) program, a two-year certificate program that provides education and workplace training to students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. The entry fee for students is $15 and $25 for non-students. Proceeds from the event go to fund student scholarships for the IDEAL program. To register, click here.

Launched in January 2014 by Lipscomb’s College of Education, the IDEAL program includes academic and skill-building classes, exercise sessions, daily internships, leisure time and a daily study period that prepares students for the work world. Since that time, the IDEAL program has had four cohorts complete career exploration studies certificates. IDEAL alumni are already making an impact on the community through the jobs they have secured following their studies at Lipscomb. (Click here to read more.)
