President McQueen shares Lipscomb updates in Charlotte.

The Be A Light tour stopped in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, Oct. 10 as more than 50 Lipscomb alumni, prospective students, parents, donors and friends gathered at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The tour is an opportunity for Lipscomb’s new President Candice McQueen to meet alumni, prospective students, donors and friends, celebrate past accomplishments, share exciting university updates and introduce the Lipscomb Impact 360 strategic planning process that envisions a bright future for Lipscomb.

One of the themes of McQueen’s administration is challenging those in the Lipscomb community to be a light. It is a message that she is taking on the road as part of this initiative. The tour began in the spring with stops in Huntsville, Alabama; Atlanta, Georgia; Memphis, Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee; Austin, Texas; and Louisville, Kentucky.

The fall tour began with a stop in Franklin, Tennessee, on Oct. 3. Other tour stops this fall include Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Oct. 24; and Chicago on Nov. 1.
