The Lipscomb School of Music will present the Advance Performance Ensemble on Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Shamblin Theatre. Directed by rod.taylor [at] lipscomb.edu (Rod Taylor), this ensemble is comprised of a select group of high-performing students from the Commercial Music program. To mimic a more professional experience, the group meets only a few times in the semester for longer rehearsals before their performance. This semester’s performance, titled “The New Nashville,” features music recorded in Nashville in the last 10 years, from four distinct genres. The evening promises to be a great musical experience for all who attend.
