Vergne received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Harding University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University. Vergne completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Analytical Chemistry Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Prior to joining the faculty at Lipscomb University, Vergne was a Senior Field Technical Support Specialist for Shimadzu Scientific Instruments. Vergne is the Director of the Bioanalytical Core Laboratory at Lipscomb University. His research interests include the quantification of drugs and natural products by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.
