Biography

Hilton & Sallie Dean Endowed Chair of Accountancy 

Mark Jobe is a native Mississippian. He was born in Elvis Presley's home town, reared in the rolling hills of northeast Mississippi, and educated at Ole Miss. Shortly after graduation, he met his future wife Stacee at church services. With his BBA and Masters degrees in Accounting, Mark worked primarily in manufacturing as a controller, and then later on as a general manager. After nearly a decade in industry, he returned to the University of Mississippi to pursue his PhD in Accounting, and graduated in 2011. Mark has taught accounting courses at Ole Miss, Arkansas State University and Middle Tennessee State University. In the Fall of 2016, he was recruited by Lipscomb University. Mark holds the Hilton & Sallie Dean Chair of Accountancy. He serves as the Internship Director for accounting interns and is an elder at Veterans Parkway Church of Christ. Mark and Stacee have two children, the oldest of which will be a freshman at Lipscomb in the fall of 2021.
