Biography

Chamblee Carpenter is an Associate Professor who teaches American literature and Creative Writing. She is also an award-winning novelist. Her debut novel, Bohemian Gospel, won Killer Nashville’s Claymore Award and was short-listed for the YALSA Alex Award. The sequel, The Devil’s Bible, won the Silver Falchion for Best Novel 2017. The third book in the series, Book of the Just, was published by Pegasus Books in the Fall of 2018. 

Chamblee Carpenter’s award-winning short fiction has also appeared in The Arkansas Review, Jersey Devil Press, Maypop, and, most recently in the anthologies, Dead Ends: Stories from the Gothic South, and Killer Nashville Noir: Cold Blooded.
