Biography

GraceAnn Visser serves as the current vice president for Tennessee Art Therapy Association, and earned her Master of Arts in art therapy from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012.

Currently, she is in her sixth year as an adjunct professor at Lipscomb University. She also acts as the studio manager for Nashville Photography Group, curating and photographing both event and commercial work.

Previously, Visser worked as an art therapist with TriStar Centennial Parthenon Pavilion, serving their adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatric populations.

Visser’s personal love of art making comes from photography and mixed media and the exploration of double exposures, dynamic lighting, and geometric designs. In addition, Visser has a long history of humanitarian work locally and internationally, which includes her past service as secretary of the board for the local humanitarian aid organization, Compassion Acts.
