Director of Veteran Services

Biography

Sam is a Marine Corps veteran who spent 10 years active duty service with the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, including four years as the Chief Instructor and Administrator of Headquarters Battalion's marksmanship coach and instructor academy in Twentynine Palms, California. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration at Lipscomb University using his Post-9/11 G.I. Bill benefits and the Yellow Ribbon program. While he was working toward his MBA, Sam was hired by Lipscomb in 2017 to improve and standardize the process of awarding student veterans transfer credits for their military education and experience, enabling them to make the most of their GI Bill benefits. Soon after completing his MBA, Sam accepted the position of Director of Veteran Services in 2019, where he continues to work as an advocate for our student veterans and dependents.
