Biography

Each year tens of thousands of guests visit the Lipscomb campus for a variety of non-athletic events. Walt Leaver leads a tireless team of event managers and planners as well as entertainment and technical services experts who help make these events top-quality for on campus and community clients.

Leaver, a member of the administrative team since 1994, is instrumental in developing relationships with organizations in the community and in partnering with them for signature university events such as the Nashville Business Breakfast, Lighting of the Green with Amy Grant and Friends, and the Charlie Daniels Scholarship for Heroes concert that helps provide scholarships for the university’s student veterans. A Lipscomb University alumnus, Leaver also serves as minister of Brentwood Hills Church of Christ.
