Biography

Dr. Susan Hammond has been working in academia since January 2012. She loves working with students to help them develop their skills in the area of computing. Prior to joining the academy, she spent 13 years in industry as a software developer and project manager.

Dr. Hammond received her undergraduate degree from Freed-Hardeman University, has an MBA from Georgia State University, and a PhD in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Auburn University.

Dr. Hammond believes in the value of Christian education. As a graduate of a Christian school, she was greatly influenced by her professors, both from the knowledge she gained from them as well as the mentoring and encouragement she received from them. She strives to pass on these same experiences to her students as well.
