Paying Your Bill - Undergraduate Students

There are several options available for making payments on your account.

One-Time Payments

Lipscomb University uses the TouchNet system, which may be accessed through myLipscomb, to manage student accounts, which can be accessed through myLipscomb. Once you’re enrolled and ready to make a payment, you can make a one-time payment or sign up for a payment plan using TouchNet.

If you do not make complete payment or set up a payment plan prior to the deadline for each semester, you are at risk of having your schedule dropped. Following are the deadlines for each semester by which you must have either paid in full or set up a payment plan:

  • Summer: May 1
  • Fall: August 1
  • Spring: December 1

Tuition Payment Plans

TouchNet is a secure and convenient way to pay for tuition and fees. TouchNet offers monthly payment plans for checking/savings accounts, and families can also make one-time payments using a bank account, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.

How to Pay Your Bill Using TouchNet

Payments from a 529 Plan

A 529 plan is a tax-advantaged savings plan, formally known as a "Qualified Tuition Program," designed to help families save for future education expenses, including college, graduate school, and even K-12 tuition.

Lipscomb University uses Backpack to receive 529 payments electronically. The platform is free to use, and payments are directly integrated with our Cashier’s Office, so we’re notified the moment your transfer is initiated.

When families request payments through a 529 plan’s website, rather than using Backpack, the funds are typically mailed as paper checks to the school. Checks can introduce delays, errors, and added manual work for both families and university staff. Studies show that nearly 1 in 3 families using paper checks for tuition will face a payment issue at some point.

To avoid any issues, we ask that all families using a 529 plan use Backpack to submit their tuition payments electronically.

GradGuard Tuition Insurance

Lipscomb University has partnered with GradGuard, a leader in tuition insurance that collaborates with over 550 colleges and universities nationwide, to offer our families an exclusive Tuition Protection Plan option.

Understanding the significance of the financial commitment involved in pursuing higher education, this optional plan allows you to safeguard your investment from unexpected circumstances. Investing in tuition insurance can help ensure that, if an unexpected covered withdrawal occurs, it doesn’t have to financially derail your student's educational journey.

GradGuard offers plans and rates for Lipscomb students that are not available to the general public. You may purchase tuition insurance directly through GradGuard at this link. This insurance protects one academic term at a time and may be repurchased each semester. This plan must be purchased before the first day of classes for the selected term.

Please note: Lipscomb’s refund policy (found at this link) contains information regarding a student's financial responsibility and tuition and housing fees when a student withdraws.
