Biography

Dr. Halle King is the Program Director for the IDEAL Program. Dr. King has been with the IDEAL program since 2019. She has previously served as the Assistant Director of Student Support and the Data Specialist. Dr. King graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and from Belmont University with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. During her time at Belmont, she completed a rotation with the Center for Community Partnerships in Fort Collins, CO working with young adults with ID. She supported students in the Project SEARCH program, community based employment, and the IPSE program at Colorado State University. Dr. King completed her capstone for her doctorate exploring the history, best practices, and occupational therapy’s role in IPSE programs. She is passionate about inclusion, collaboration, and preparing students for adulthood.
