Paying Your Bill - Incoming Students

There are several options available for making payments on your account. All bills are paid through myLipscomb.

Lipscomb University uses the Nelnet system to manage student accounts, which can be accessed through myLipscomb. Once you’re enrolled and ready to make a payment, you may do so or sign up for a payment plan using Nelnet. Contact the Business Office for assistance with paying your bill.

If you do not complete payment, you are at risk of having your schedule dropped. There are deadlines each semester by which you must have either paid in full or set up a payment plan:

  • Summer: May 1
  • Fall: August 1
  • Spring: December 1

Tuition Payment Plans

Nelnet is a state-of-the-art, secure and convenient way to pay for tuition and fees. Nelnet offers monthly payment plans for checking/savings accounts, and families can make one-time payments using a bank account, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.

Fall Term Options

5-Month Payment Plan:
June – October

4-Month Payment Plan:
July – October

3-Month Payment Plan:
August – October
 

Spring Term Options

5-Month Payment Plan:
November – March

4-Month Payment Plan:
December – March

3-Month Payment Plan:
January – March
 

All payment plans have a $60 enrollment fee per semester that is due when signing up for the plan. Monthly payments will automatically draft on the due dates. Any past due amounts are subject to a $40 late payment fee. Any returned payments are subject to a $30 returned payment fee. All plans are set up for automatic monthly payments, drafting on the 25th of each month.

How to Pay Your Bill Using Nelnet

Accessing Nelnet

Once you’re logged into myLipscomb’s new student homepage, navigate to the left hand corner of the page and click All Apps > CNS Student Portal.  There, you can view My Finances > Nelnet Payment/Plans > Launch Nelnet

Authorizing Users

Authorized users may view student account activity, make payments and set up payment plans. 

To give a parent, grandparent, or other trusted person access to Nelnet, visit the CNS Student Portal by clicking All Apps > CNS Student Portal. There, you can view My Finances > Nelnet Payment/Plans > Launch Nelnet. On the Homepage of the Nelnet portal, click Add an Authorized Party, fill out the information for your authorized party and click Save.
 

Making Payments

Once you are logged into the CNS Student Portal, click on the My Finances tab > Nelnet Payment/Plans > Click the Launch Nelnet link under Nelnet Payment/Plans (pop up blocker may have to be disabled) > Click the Make a Payment Button>Select the appropriate Student Account Balance Term Box > Type in your payment amount>Next-Payment Method > Choose your payment method > Submit your payment

Enrolling in a Plan

You may only enroll in a payment plan during the enrollment period.  To enroll in a payment plan, log into the CNS Student Portal, click on the My Finances tab > Nelnet Payment/Plans > Click the Launch Nelnet link under Nelnet Payment/Plans (pop up blocker may have to be disabled) > Set up a Payment Plan under the appropriate term. Once you select your desired payment plan, you can enter your payment method and information to initiate automatic monthly deductions.
