| Renovated Student Activities Center more welcoming to students, community
Janel Shoun 8/16/2011 A $600,000 renovation this summer will bring new chic to the Student Activities Center, the on-campus fitness center, with an enlarged lobby area, new floors, new TVs, additional space and all new exercise equipment. |

| College of Pharmacy welcomes fourth class, completing the student body
Janel Shoun 8/12/2011 This fall marks the completion of the Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy student body, with 78 new student pharmacists enrolled in August. The college now has a full house with 301 student pharmacists studying in the labs. The first graduating class will receive their PharmDs in May 2012. |

Lipscomb Athletics 8/12/2011 The Bisons spent their first morning in the Dominican Republic visiting a village whose destitute residents formerly worked at a now-closed sugar cane farm. The visit was a very emotional and eye-opening stop for the Bisons. |

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean is scheduled to deliver welcoming remarks to the class. |

However, Rachel Stratton, a graduate student in the Dietetic Internship Program, did just that, landing her dream job at the University of Oregon just days after graduating from the program. |
