Exercise & Nutrition Science (EXNS) - 36 Hours (M.S.)
Lipscomb University is offering a unique program to train professionals with a holistic approach to empowering healthy living and disease prevention. This program is inspired by the growing demand of health awareness in both exercise physiology and nutrition.
Lipscomb’s long standing academic tradition and innovative approach to serving the community influences the development of this unique program. The M.S. in Exercise and Nutrition Science is a 36 hour program that will give you both classroom and hands on opportunities to enhance your educational experience. The program offers a practicum or thesis option for you to meet your academic and professional needs.
This program is designed to meet your professional needs. As a student you will be able to select your academic track to meet your career goals. The program has four core courses with diverse options of elective coursework. The academic design also enables students to select electives across disciplines in other graduate programs on campus. Students also have the option of choosing a thesis track or practicum for the M.S. in Exercise and Nutrition Science. This program provides opportunities for extensive research in the wellness or nutrition areas or working with local organizations.
Lipscomb is located just south of downtown Nashville, TN offering access to a large number of healthcare facilities and multiple fitness and wellness centers across Middle Tennessee. Our graduate faculty in the Exercise and Nutrition Science program utilize these facilities and network with these industry leaders to enhance your educational experience and career opportunities.
In addition to our main campus, our EXNS graduate program classes are available at SPARK, our new off-site location in Cool Springs, providing even greater convenience for students south of the Nashville area.
Lipscomb is a faith-based institution that values opportunities to give back to society. You will be utilizing skills taught in the classroom to serve the community. You will be engaging in opportunities on campus to raise awareness about wellness and disease prevention by administering fitness tests, fitness training and nutritional guidance. Graduate students will also be working with local healthcare facilities and wellness centers to gain additional professional experience.
