Charles Elder (’30) died June 26, Nashville. Survivors include his children, Robert Elder, Marrilla (Elder) Arguelles, and John Randolph Elder. Five grandsons and eight great-grandchildren survive him also.
Martha (Corley ’30) Whitelaw died May 24, Nashville. Survivors include her son, Clay Corley Whitelaw (’68, DLHS ’62), daughter, Nancy (Whitelaw ’69, DLHS ’66) Parks, and brother, Lynch Bennett Corley, Jr. (50). Several grandchildren survive her also.

Mary (Bragg ’31) Hillis died July 25, Kingsport, Tenn.

Ruby (Eley ’32) Snell died May 10, Florence, Ala. Survivors include her children, Joan (Snell ’60) Dixon, Jan (Snell ’63) Brantly, Jill (Snell ’67) Watson, Thomas Snell, Jr. (’71), Kenneth Snell (’74), and David Snell (’76). Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her also.

The Alumni Office has been notified of the death of Gussie (Scott ’34) Hackney, Clarksville, Tenn.

Ruth (Morris ’35, DLHS ’33) Collins died July 19, Nashville. Survivors include her husband, former Lipscomb University President, George Willard Collins (’36), daughter, Carole (Collins ’63, DLHS ’56) DeMonbreun, son-in-law, Ed Slayton (’66), grandsons, Mark Slayton (’91, DLHS ’87), Michael Slayton (’94, DLHS ’90), and granddaughter, Tasha (DeMonbreun ’93) Jenkins. Three great-grandchildren survive her also.
Beatrice Pauline Freeman (’35) died April 12, Nashville. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn (Freeman ’38) Oliphant and several nieces and nephews.
Mary (Wiseman ’35) McCrary died May 21, Murfreesboro, Tenn. Survivors include her son, Edward McCrary; grandchildren, Mary Holsonback and Mark McCrary. Several great-grandchildren survive her also.

Jane (Murphy
’36) Dean died Aug. 10, Nashville. She is survived by her son, Dr. William M. Dean, Jr. and granddaughter, Susan Dean.
Sara Elizabeth (Swallows ’36) Murphy died June 27, Morristown, Tenn. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Breeding, and son, James “Bill” Murphy and five grandchildren. Her sister, Martha Walker, survives her also.

Lipscomb Crothers
(’37) died June 18, Tempe, Ariz. He is survived by his wife, Sue (Massey) Crothers.

Elizabeth (Williams
’39) Self died June 11, Brentwood, Tenn. Survivors include her daughters, Alice Self (DLHS ’64) and Elizabeth (Self DLHS ’62) Chrisman, sons, Dr. Leslie Self, Sr. (DLHS ’64) and Dr. Timothy Self (DLHS ’70). Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her also.

Mrs. Charles Bryant died Aug. 13, Nashville. She is survived by husband, Ralph Bryant (’40), former registrar of Lipscomb University, children, Robert Bryant (DLHS ’66) and Kathryn (Bryant ’72, DLHS ’68) Jarrell and grandson, Donald “Tracy” Jarrell (’97, DLHS ’92).
Robert Louis Reeves (’40) died March 14, Huntsville, Ala. His wife, Margaret (Naugher ’40) survives him.

Luther L. Griffin died April 22, Nashville. He is survived by his wife, Emily (Compton ’43) Griffin.

Herbert L. Harper, Sr.
(’49) died May 14, Franklin, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Bettye (Anderson ’48, DLHS ’44) Harper, sons, Herbert L. Harper, Jr., Danny M. Leverette, daughters, Lois (Harper DLHS ’70) Peden, Lola (Harper) Loring, Margaret Harper) Curtis, Melissa (Harper) Orr, brothers; James, Carl, and Neal Harper, sisters; Hazel Sweet, Juanita Carter, and Dora Connor. Several grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren survive him also.

Ray Brown
(’50) died Aug. 17. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle (Butler) Brown, daughters, Dana (Brown) Esse and Rene’ Brown; son Daryl Brown; brother, Farris Brown, and grandson, Ben Esse.

Roger Russell
(’51) died March 4, Marietta, Ga. His wife, Bonnie (Donelson DLHS ’51) Russell survives him.
Dr. Guy Woodall (’51) died May 12, Spring, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Williamson ’53) Woodall, daughter, Ellen Sutphen and a granddaughter, Abigail Sutphen.

The Alumni Office has been notified of the death of George M. Yates (’53, DLHS ’49) on May 18, Goodlettsville, Tenn. Survivors include his wife Shelvia (Williams) Yates, daughters, Leesa (Yates ’78) Black, Angela Yates (’84), and sons, Tommy and Wesley Yates. Several grandchildren survive him also.

Lennie (Reed
’55) Spear died July 13, Old Hickory, Tenn. Her sister, Emma Jones, survives her.
Don Whitfield died July 26, Franklin, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Marian (Nutt ’55) Whitfield, and sons, Thomas Whitfield (’80, DLHS ’76) and Nelson Whitfield (’86, DLHS ’82).

Gene D. Overton
(’58) died March 7, Bowling Green, Ky. Survivors include his wife, Dolores (Reynolds) Overton and children, Ivan Overton, Brent Overton, and Lea Overton Gayheart.

Phillip Mac Cooper
(’60) died June 16. Survivors include his wife, Jeanie (Hale ’65) Cooper, and daughters, Mary and LeAnne (Cooper  ’95) Morris. Four grandchildren survive him also.

William Walden
(’61) died April 8, Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Survivors include a son, Preston Walden, daughters, Lydia Nixon and Marla Beard. His mother, Mildred Walden, survives him also.

Billye (Bader
DLHS ’63) Davidson died June 28, Hendersonville, Tenn. Survivors include her sons, Jim and Bob Davidson; grandchildren, John and Ryan Davidson.
Dr. Nelson Hunter (’63) died May 2, Clarksville, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Brenda (Heflin ’66) Hunter, daughter, Dr. Candice (Hunter ’96) McQueen, and son, Craig Hunter.

Ronald Wayne Gaut
(’64) died April 15, Greenwell Springs, La.
James A. Lutes, Jr. (’64, DLHS ’60) died April 8, Thompson’s Station, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Patsy (Johnson ’64) Lutes, daughter, Rachel Finchum, brother, John Lutes, and sisters, Pat Lutes and Jackie Huffman. A grandson survives him also.
Joe Edward Lyle (’64) died July 3, Brentwood, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Lyle, sons, Darren and Brian Lyle, daughter, Jennifer Lyle, grandson, Christian, and sister, Barbara Lyle.

Robert Berry
(’66) died May 18, Brentwood, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Carol (Pirtle ’65, DLHS ’61) and daughter, Alison (Berry ’95, DLHS ’90) Jordan. Robert was a former director of Adult Studies at Lipscomb University.

Sue Lyn (Smith
’67) Brumfield died June 13, Brentwood, Tenn. Survivors include her husband, Steve Brumfield (’68), daughters, Laura (Brumfield ’91) Camp and Lisa Brumfield (’93), Carrie Brumfield, and Catherine Brumfield, mother, Mildred Smith, brothers, Jack Smith, and George Alan Smith, sisters, Judith (Smith ’60) Cobb, and Sheila Walmer. Three grandsons survive her also.
Dr. Kenneth Timothy North (’67) died July 28, Madison, Tenn. Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Gentry ’67) North, daughters, Tammy (North ’94) Crumpler, Tabitha (North ’98) Finney, and son, Toby North, brothers, Steve North (’63), and Phillip North (’72). Grandchildren, Victoria and George Rike, survive him also.

Dortha Regina Parker
(’71) died June 15, Antioch, Tenn. Survivors include her brothers; Clyde, Wallace, and Norman, sisters; Margrette Enoch, Jeanette Lindsey, and Cathy Collins.
Gary Irvin Christian (’73) died Nov. 20, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Dierdre Christian and daughter, Amy Margaret. His parents Irvin and Amelia Christian survive him also.
Bailey Steven Coles (’73, DLHS ’69) died June 27, Nashville. Survivors include his wife, Susan (Mott) Coles, daughter, Elizabeth Coles, brothers, William H. Coles, Jr. (’54) and Ronald Coles (’73).

Christine (Holmes
’74) Henes is owner of Sonshine Music Center LLC. Christine is a music therapist. “Henes’ practice includes wellness consultations and consultations for people with physical and psychiatric disabilities.” “It is her premise that music orders behavior.” Christine lives in Cottage Grove, Wis.

David Duty
(’75) died May 24, Nashville. Survivors include his wife, Laurie, parents, Jim and Mona Duty and sister, Sharon (Duty ’77) Nikolaus.

Alan Clements was recently named head women’s volleyball coach at Felician College according to a News Release from Felician. Alan lives in Fair Lawn, NJ.

James Clayton is Pulpit Minister at Central Pike Church of Christ in Hermitage, Tenn. His wife, Stephanie (Daniel ’80) Clayton is patient care coordinator at Anderson Eyecare in Nashville. They reside in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

Debbie (Gaimari)
Crowder has moved to Knoxville, Tenn. where she serves as CEO and Chairman of SunTrust Bank, East Tennessee.
Will Jay Moss, born June 8 to Anna Leta (Bradshaw) and Thomas Moss (’79), Dickson, Tenn.

The Alumni Office has been notified of the death of Tracey Elizabeth Royal (’80), Winter Haven, Fla.

Grady Thomas Smith
recently celebrated his 25th year as minister at the Northeast Church of Christ in Cincinnati, Ohio. He and his wife, Jeanie (Farrer ’83) reside in Middletown, Ohio. Their two children are Andrew and Katherine.

Rhonda (Bussell
’83) Gentry is general manager for Jewelry Television in Knoxville, Tenn. Rhonda lives in Knoxville.
Jack Jean was recently named Lincoln County, Tenn. Teacher of the Year. Jack is chairman of the English Department at Lincoln County High School. He also preaches for the Bedford County New Hermon and Lincoln County Stoney Point churches of Christ.

Daniel Clayton
was chosen president-elect of the Tennessee Association for Justice, formerly the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, during its annual convention held in Nashville. Daniel has an AV ranking by Matindale-Hubbell and is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He and his wife, Stacy (Johnson ’84) Clayton and their 4 children live in Franklin, Tenn.
Mary Katherine Hall, born June 22 to Kay-Kay (Mosley) and Gary Hall (’84, DLHS ’81), Brentwood, Tenn. Dr. Hall is a professor of math at Lipscomb University. Their other children are Garrett, 6, and Kayleigh, 3.

Steve Trent Merritt
(’85) died May 17, Nashville. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Patterson ’87) Merritt, daughter, Jennifer and son, Nicklaus; mother, Dorothola Merritt; and brother, Kevin Merritt.

Price David Stewart, born May 9 was adopted by Kathy (Fisher ’88, DLHS ’84) and David Stewart (’88), Brentwood, Tenn. Kathy is controller for Richland Country Club. David is employed by Dell Computer. Their other child is Kennedy, 3.

Coleman Miles Davis, born May 22 to Gretchen and Jeffrey Davis (’91), Arlington, Va.
Judah Wagner Ferrell, born in Central Siberia/Russia, was adopted on July 19, 2006 by Andrea (Wagner ’96) and Ronnie Ferrell (’91), Nashville.
Ashley Grace Josephine Vasquez, born April 10 to Wendy (Parker ’91) and Gabriel Vasquez, Nashville. Gabriel owns Thomas Vasquez Entertainment in Nashville. Wendy works part-time as the chief compliance officer for Hays Advisory in Brentwood, Tenn. Their other child is Avery Isabella, 4.

Katie Anne Meredith, born Aug. 15 to Jennifer (Prill ’92) and David Meredith, The Woodlands, Texas. Their other child is Austin,4.
Brantley Tate Owen, born May 20 to Wendy (Northcutt DLHS ’92) and Lane Owen, Johnson City, Tenn.
Catherine Elizabeth Rowe, born March 1, 2006 in China, was adopted on April 2 by Suzanne Rowe (’92), Smyrna, Tenn.
Mitchell Skelton is serving as the Family Life Minister for the Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tenn. He also owns Subway in Waynesboro. His wife, Sheryl, is a homemaker.
Ryan Grace Whitefield, born July 2 to Jenni (Ryan ’96) and Dr. Mark Whitefield (’92), Nashville. Their other children are Bailey, 4, and Bennett, 2.

Ryan Joshua Cooper, born July 3 to Martha (Mester ’93, DLHS ’89) and Jason Cooper (’93), Shaw AFB, S.C.
Anna Patricia Dornink, born April 22 to Carol (Cheatham ’93) and Larry Dornink, Cumming, Ga. Larry works for Pennsylvania Lumbermen’s Mutual Insurance Co. Carol is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Pierce, 2.
Wyatt Christian Higgs, born April 5 to Rachel (Corley ’93) and Clark Higgs, Hendersonville, Tenn. Clark is a pediatric dentist in Madison, Tenn. Rachel is a stay-at-home mom. Their other children are Wilson 6 ½ and William, 2.
Jonathan Diego Marrero, born July 29, 2006 to Suzanne (Pack DLHS ’93) and Efrain Marreo, Indianapolis, Ind. Suzanne is working as a visiting assistant professor of curriculum studies at Purdue University. Efrain is a pharmacist at Methodist Hospital.
Jonathan Alexander Robins, born June 4 to Lisa (Monet ’93) and Kenneth Robbins, Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Stan Wilson is owner of Computer Forensics and is also a professional race car driver. He recently raced the Dodge Viper in the American La Mans Series. Stan currently competes in the SPEED World Challenge Touring Car series and is leading the Rookie of the Year points battle, sitting 11th in the overall championship standings. Stan and his wife, Cheryl (McLevain ’04, DLHS ’89) Wilson live in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
Jack Landon Willis, born June 5 to Julie (Johnson ’93) and Buford (B.J.) Willis, Jr., Nashville. Their other children are Parker, Sara Kay, Benjamin, and Ethan.

Georgia Gail “Gigi” Copeland, born April 25 to Heather and Bart Copeland (’94), Nashville.
Lillian Kate Elkins, born Aug. 10, 2006 to Kim (Whitworth ’97, DLHS ’93) and Todd Elkins (’94), Nashville. Their other children are Jackson, 7, and Baker, 3.
Linden Fain Magness, born July 26 to Tennyson and Clay Magness (’94), Nashville.
Rebecca (Schell) Miller and her husband, Mark, are manufacturing the SlingEZee brand baby sling. This joins their other company, Nurtured Family, established in 2003, located in Houston, Texas. The companies specialize in maternity and baby products. The Millers reside in Houston.

Estoria (Powell)
Bowers works for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in Brentwood, Tenn. She formerly owned a spa, Estoria House, in Austin, Texas. Estoria is married to Brent Bowers. Brent works for Dillard’s in Cool Springs. She has two step-children, Nathan and Shelly Bowers. They reside in Nashville.
Hannah Audrey Hodges, born March 9 to Gretchen (Mandernach ’98) and Jimmy Hodges (’95), Bismarck, Ill. Jimmy is a preacher for Northside Church of Christ in Bismarck. Heather is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Gabriel, 5.
Reed Alden Neese, born Feb. 6 to Erin (Reed ’95) and David Neese, Nashville.
Kendall Sharon Skelton, born Nov. 28, 2005 to Keri (Boyd ’95) and Bryan Skelton (’95), Franklin, Tenn. Their other children are Taylor, 7 ½, and Caleb, 4 ½.

Madeline Elizabeth Colquett, born May 21, 2006 to Heather (Sturm ’97) and Robert “Bubba” Colquett (’96), Louisville, Ky. Bubba is a preschool teacher with Bright Horizons. Heather is a legal secretary.
Kyle Hutchison (‘96) died June 5, College Grove, TN. Survivors include his parents, Don Hutchison (’68) and Linda (Buford ’69) Hutchison, brother, Craig Hutchison and sister, Keeley White. His grandparents, Rudolph and Nellie (Hutchison) Chilton and Clina Mae Norfleet survive him also.
Phillip “Michael” Pierce, III, born Jan. 28, 2006 to Kirsten (Stewart ’96) and Phillip Pierce, Centreville, Va. Phillip is manager of Matchless Body Works. Kirsten is a stay-at-home mom.
William Thomas Pyle, born April 4 to Emily (Thomas ’96) and Jim Pyle, Hopkinsville, Ky. Jim is a captain at Christian County Jail. Emily is a customer service representative for Pennyrile Electric.
James Rose has opened his law office on Nashville’s Music Row. In addition to concentrating on entertainment law, he practices in the areas of domestic relations, juvenile, criminal and general litigation. James is a 1999 graduate of The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
William David and Darby Anne Salisbury, born May 31 to Heather (Woollard ’98) and David Salisbury (’96, MDiv.’01), Hohenwald, Tenn. Their other child is Abigail, 3.
Mia Gabrielle Sircy, born July 4 to Kyle (Foster ’96) and Christopher Sircy, Hendersonville, Tenn.
Quinn Matthew Spencer, born Feb. 3 to Julie (Wilkins ’98) and Matt Spencer (’96), Nashville. Matt owns Dixie Medical. Julie is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Reagan, 2.

Coleman Wade Brown, born Feb. 5 to Laura (Muse ’97) and Brad Brown (’97), Cookeville, Tenn. Their other children are Lincoln, 4 and Catherine, 2.
Eli Everett Buck, born May 6 to Valorie (Bush ’97) and Lee Buck, Springfield, Tenn.
Duncan Michael Cloud, born Aug. 14, 2006 to Michelle (Creasy) and David Cloud (’97, DLHS ’93), Arrington, Tenn. David is a firefighter with the City of Franklin, Tenn. Michelle is a homemaker.
Jake Matthew Hanson, born April 26 to Michelle (Smith ’97) and Matt Hanson, Lexington, Ky. Matt is a mechanical engineer at L-3 Communications in Lexington. Michelle is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Kharis McKenna, 2 ½.
Kaitlyn Amelia Krinks, born May 6 to Kara (Adcox ’97) and Jeff Krinks, Nashville.
Elijah Taylor McCadams, born April 30 to Jennifer (Chapman ’97, DLHS ’93) and MAJ Hunter McCadams (DLHS ’91), Altus, Okla. Their other children are Samuel Hunter, 5 and Nate, 2.
Savannah Jane Porter, born May 22 to Susan (Barnes ’97) and Spencer Porter (’97), Cane Ridge, Tenn.
Fred Maxwell Simpson, born Dec. 21, 2006 to Melissa (Laine ’97) and Stuart Simpson (’98), Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Stuart is an equity trader with FTN Midwest Securities. Melissa is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Lindsey, 3.
Jere Murphy and Thomas Mann Smothers, born March 6 to Suzanne (Irvin) and Grant Smothers (’97, DLHS ’93), Nashville.
Nathan Paul Todd, born Feb. 23 to Paula (Mohon ’97) and Dr. Jeff Todd, Woodbury, Tenn. Jeff is a family physician and Paula is a family nurse practitioner in Woodbury. Their other children are Ben, 4, and Andrew, 2 ½.
Lera Mae Womack, born March 21 to Susan (Masterson ’99, DLHS ’95), and Stephen Womack (’97), Franklin, Tenn.

Charles Patton Couch, born April 5 to Abby (Roberson ’98) and Wallace Couch, Nashville. Wallace is a project manager for Ragan-Smith & Associates. Abby is a CPA and works part-time as the budget and reporting manager for St. Thomas Health Services.
Nathan Hall and Andrea Davis were married July 5. Nathan is employed by First Tennessee Bank. Andrea is employed by The Wellness Center at Baptist Hospital. The couple lives in Nashville.
Harris Auten Hammond, born May 3 to Amber (Everson ’01) and Jeff Hammond (’98), Nashville.
Dawson Thomas Moonshower, born May 18 to Gini (Dawson ’99) and Thomas Moonshower (’98, MBA ’02), Franklin, Tenn.
Malinda Phillips recently graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine. Malinda received an outstanding achievement award in Osteopathic Practice and Principles. She is interning at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn. in Family Medicine.
Chad Smith and Christianna Beebe were married Oct. 8, 2006. Chad completed his master’s degree in History from Boston College in 2005. He is pursuing a master of divinity at the Boston University School of Theology. He previously worked with the Brookline Church of Christ as their minister for four years. Christi is a graduate of Tufts University and works as a freelance consultant in communications, cause branding, and strategy. The couple lives in the greater Boston area.
Henderson Law Wiggins, born Jan. 26 to Kelley (Krech ’99) and Franklin Wiggins (’98), Bowling Green, Ky. Franklin is the worship minister at Bowling Green Christian Church. Kelley is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Parker, 4.

Caroline Eloise Bramlett, born April 30 to Ashley (Gibbons) and Robert Bramlett (’99, DLHS ’94), Nashville. Their other child is Paul Kent, 2 ½. Robert and Ashley are practicing law with Bramlett Law Offices.
Jackson Cash Bybee, born June 11 to Sunny (Shates ’99) and Jason Bybee (’99), Huntsville, Ala. Jason is the associate minister at the Mayfair Church of Christ. Sunny is a stay-at-home mom. They twins are Abby Kate and Joshua, 3.
Greer Elizabeth Huffine, born May 9 to Shannon (Dozier ’99) and Gregory Huffine (MBA ’03). Their other child is Graham, 3.
Caroline Claire Jackson, born June 12, 2006 to Amie (Leaver ’00, DLHS ’96) and Tom Jackson III (’99). Tom is controller at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Amie is a stay-at-home mom.
Clementine Louisa Metz, born May 1 to Mary Beth (Hastings ’99) and Adam Metz (’00), Westerville, Ohio. Adam is a youth minister for Alum Creek Church of Christ in Lewis Center, Ohio. Mary Beth works part-time for the church also. Their other child is Clark, 2 ½.
Ansley Brooke Petty, born May 1 to Tara and Brian Petty (’99), Nashville. Their other child is Ty, 1 ½.
Parker Owen Proffitt, born May 10 to Regina (Griffith DLHS ’94) and Zach Proffitt (’99), Mansfield, Ohio.
Robert Spearman III (’99) died May 20, Nashville. Survivors include his wife, Linda Spearman; son, Christopher Bailey; granddaughter, Morgan Bailey; grandson, Dillon Bailey; mother, Linda Gossett; father, Robert H. Spearman II; sister, Gwendolyn Sharber, and brother, Glenn Todd Spearman.
Jeremy Cutler Stephens, born April 27 to Emily (Pearman ’00) and Jeremy Stephens (’99, DLHS ’95), Franklin, Tenn.
Mary Jackson Tatum, born May 8 to Suzanne (Persons ’99) and Richard Tatum (’00), Brentwood, Tenn.

Jaxon Twilley Allen, born July 31 to Rachel (Miller ’02) and Jason Allen (’00), Nashville, Tenn.
Meghan Elise Farrell, born Nov. 1, 2006 to Amanda (Woodard ’00) and Brian Farrell, Columbia, Tenn. Their other child is Allyson Kaye, 3.

Lauryn Brooke Semanchik, born Sept. 12, 2006 to Brooke (Stewart ’00) and Ryan Semanchik (DLHS ’96), Nashville. Ryan is vice-president of operations and finance for Statement Rendering Solutions. Brooke is a stay-at-home mom.

works for the Davidson County TN Assessor’s Office and is pulpit minister at South Harpeth Church of Christ. His wife, Jessica (Stigall ’00) Cantrell, teaches 1st grade at Amqui Elementary School in Madison, Tenn. The couple lives in Madison.

Brady Ezra Douglas, born June 15, 2006 to Alicia (Griffith ’01, DLHS ’96) and Joshua Douglas, Antioch, Tenn. Joshua is a senior web application developer for The Visibility Company in Brentwood, Tenn. Alicia is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Gavin Elijah, 2.

Hudson Christopher Jones, born July 19 to Jennifer (King ’01) and Chris Jones (’01), Ooltewah, Tenn. Chris works for US Food Service. Jennifer is a stay-at-home mom. Their other child is Cooper, 2 ½.

Adam Rush received a medical degree and masters in Health Administration (MHA) from Ohio State University in June, 2007. He is presently serving an internship in Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Adam lives in Columbus.
Tim Smith and Jessica DiToro (’05) were married June 16. Jessica teaches 6th grade at Ezell Harding Christian School in Nashville. Tim is employed by Dave Ramsey as a marketing coordinator in the eBusiness Department. The couple lives in Cane Ridge, Tenn.

Erin (Arnold ’05, DLHS ’01) Smith died July 16, Denver, Colo. Survivors include her husband, Jason Smith (’04), parents, Lynne (Powers ’74) Arnold and Brad Arnold (’76), and sister, Amy (Arnold DLHS ’99) Rusley.

Davis Porter Rice (DLHS ’06) died from automobile accident on May 11. Survivors include his parents Tom and Debbie (Sadler DLHS ’70) Rice and brother, Thomas Hunter Rice. Several aunts and uncles survive him also.

Mabel Moss died April 11, Nashville. Survivors include her husband, Carl W. Moss, former employee of Lipscomb University’s Facilities Department, sons: Dr. Mike Moss (’72) a former Lipscomb University Professor of Bible, Wendell Moss (’73), Daniel Moss (’76) and Thomas Allen Moss (’79); grandchildren, Matthew Moss (’06), Abby (Moss ’97, DLHS ’94) Rosser, Rebecca (Moss ’95, DLHS ’92) Sekers, Carrie (Moss ’00, DLHS ’97) McLean, John Moss (’98, DLHS ’94), Beth Moss (DLHS ’96), Stephen Moss, and Will Moss.
