Information Sessions

We would love for you to learn more about our Master of Science in Sustainable Practice during an upcoming Preview Day or Information Session. While on campus, you will get the opportunity to hear from our academic director, Dr. Emily Stutzman and founding director, Professor Dodd Galbreath, and have any of your questions answered. In addition to meeting Dr. Stutzman and Professor Galbreath, during Preview Day you will get to sit in on an actual Sustainable Practice class and hear from current students.

Information sessions and Preview Days are held at Lipscomb University. Information sessions occur on weekdays. Preview Days take place from 9:00am-11:00am on select Saturdays. See below form for scheduled dates.

Sustainable Earth Systems with Professor Dodd Galbreath
The first course in our graduate sustainability curriculum is Sustainable Earth Systems. In sustainability's triple bottom line, earth systems provide us with the template for efficiency and survival since it predates human existence. Our first fall class meeting will take place Tuesday, August 22 and will begin with a field trip and lecture at Monroe Harding children's home.

5:00 PM Property Tour
6:00 PM Working Dinner and Course Syllabus Review
7:00 PM Lecture
9:00 PM Adjourn Class


Logistical Details: Monroe Harding is located at 1120 Glendale Lane, Nashville, TN. Class time is 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. As you enter the Glendale entrance, look for cars parked on the grass at the top of the hill. Guests and graduate students should wear sturdy walking shoes and light weight long pants to traverse the dense grass and undergrowth of nature restoration sites being established in the middle of the Green Hills community.
