Nashville gathered together on March 15th to discuss the implementation of rail that will run through Nashville and conjoining cities! Statistically, one hundred people move to Nashville a day which makes commuting extremely difficult. The presentation illustrated how congestion will decrease, provide more job opportunities, and commute time will reduce by 80%. On average, trips in and out of Nashville range from 40 – 45 minutes; the rail system will give people another option besides driving themselves or taking the bus. The routes from surrounding cities provide people a straight shot to Nashville’s international airport, as well as faster travel times due to their collaboration with Uber and Lyft, giving commuters and drivers real time information. Overall, the state of Tennessee will save $30 billion, preserve rural space, and give people the opportunity to invest in the community!
