Lipscomb students, staff, faculty and community members gathered in Swang to learn about current prevalent food waste issues, then split into teams to formulate a plan of action for a few different scenarios. Share our Supper, a student led, food recovery group hosted this nationally recognized event on February 10th. This event, Food Solutions Challenge, is sponsored by Net impact; a "global community of students and professionals who aspire to be the most effective change agents they can be." After formulating solutions, each team had the opportunity to submit their idea to Net Impact for a national competition. A few students submitted and their proposal is currently under review.
