2013 Service Day

Established in 2002, Lipscomb University’s annual Service Day has grown from a small event that around 50 students participated in, to a huge event that more than 800 students now enjoy.

Once a year, each year, the entire student body is excused from afternoon classes and divided up into small groups to head out throughout Nashville and volunteer for worthy causes.

On April 10, 2013, The College of Pharmacy had 223 volunteers who served in various locations in the Nashville community. This year faculty, staff, and student pharmacists volunteered at Radnor Lake, Glencliff High School, Overton High School, Hillsboro High School, The Nashville Zoo and the Rescue Mission.

Volunteers served at Hillsboro, Glencliff, and Overton High Schools by painting classrooms and office spaces as well as gardening across the campuses
