HealthStream CEO speaks at Nashville Business Breakfast

Robert A. Frist Jr., president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board for HealthStream Inc., will be the featured speaker at Lipscomb University’s Nashville Business Breakfast at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, in Allen Arena.

Robert Frist Jr.Frist, co-founder of HealthStream, has served in his current roles since 1990. As chief executive officer, Frist has positioned HealthStream as a leading provider of workforce development, talent management and research solutions for the health care industry. He has led the development of product innovations that is transforming the way health care organizations train, assess and develop their human capital. He will share insight into how to transform health care by assessing and developing those who provide care.

Under Frist’s leadership, HealthStream has received numerous awards and significant industry recognition. In the last 12 months, HealthStream has been ranked #27 in Forbes Magazine’s list of the “Top 50 Best Small Companies in the U.S.; received a “Best in Business Award” by the Nashville Business Journal; listed #57 in Healthcare Informatics “Top 100 HCIT Companies” and was named one of the “Top 3” market movers in health care by the Nashville Chamber and Entrepreneur Center. He was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Lipscomb University and was recognized by the Nashville Business Journal as one of the “Top 3 Most Admired CEOs.”

In addition to his leadership role at HealthStream, Frist serves as a board member of the Nashville Health Care Council. He is also an avid supporter of science education, as demonstrated by his long-time support as a board member at Nashville’s Adventure Science Center. He is a founding board member of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. Frist graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Trinity University.
