More than 15,000 packed Allen Arena during three programs held April 26 and 27 to see Phil, Kay and Si Robertson, stars of the A&E reality show Duck Dynasty, and to hear an inspirational message by former Bison men’s basketball coach Don Meyer.

Known for their down-home values and Christian beliefs on their hit television show, the Robertsons are currently star in the show that airs on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m CST. The shows third-season finale on April 24 set an A&E series record with nearly 10 million viewers. The Robertson family is active in the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ in their hometown of West Monroe, La.

Among the guests who stopped by during one of the programs to learn more about the fine art of duck calling were former Tennessee Titan quarterback Matt Hasselback as well as Rusty Smith and Jake Locker, current Titans quarterbacks.

A college quarterback at Louisiana Tech, Phil started his own business in 1972 making duck calls and patented his now famous Duck Commander line of products. The family business has thrived across the country with hunters and eventually led to a series of Duckmen videos that teach the proper techniques to bring ducks right into the hunter’s blinds.
