Singarama is in the past.

March 5-7
Collins Alumni Auditorium

7:30 p.m.

For 52 years, springtime at Lipscomb has meant Singarama, as more than 16,000 students have participated in the show. Armed only with their category, the students in each group develop their story lines, write scripts, choose eight songs and accompanying choreography, and design and create sets and costumes.

This year's theme is "Ready, Set, Go!" and each of the shows, evaluated by a panel of 18 judges, will compete in three categories (theme, music, and staging) and in overall sweepstakes points.

Show directors include Anne Claire Smith ("Ready"), Carolanne Deaton ("Set") and John Alex Foster ("Go"). Hosts and hostesses for this year's production, who were selected by audition, include Delaney Brown, David Austin Lowery, Michael Oruma, Caitlin Phelps, Tyler Russell and McKenna Smith.

Singarama's student coordinators - Samantha Bell, Adwoa Osei, Hailey Parrott and Jon Rapacz - are also working behind the scenes to produce this year's show with Sarah Keith Gamble, Singarama's producer for the past 30 years.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m., March 5-7, with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on March 7.

Tickets will be available from the Allen Arena Box Office at 615-966-7075. For more information on the show contact Lipscomb’s student life office at 615.966.5690.
