Tisha Campbell-Martin to share her experiences as an actress at FREE event Sept. 18

Lipscomb University’s George Shinn College of Entertainment & the Arts hosts entertainer Tisha Campbell-Martin for "Actress Insights: A Conversation with Tisha Campbell-Martin," on Monday, Sept. 18th at 6:30 p.m. in Collins Alumni Auditorium, on the Lipscomb campus. The event is free.

Campbell-MartinCampbell-Martin had her breakout role in Spike Lee’s School Daze and followed that with a series of other films including House Party before landing the co-starring television role of “Gina” in Martin. Her other work includes starring roles in Everybody Hates Chris, My Wife & Kids, and Dr. Ken. She has worked along the way with Martin Lawrence, Damon Wayans, Chris Rock, and many other leaders in film and television.

Campbell’s first TV appearance was at the age of six, in a 1974 episode of the PBS show, The Big Blue Marble. As a child, she won many talent shows, going on to appear in such children’s programs as Kids Are People Too, Unicorn Tales and Captain Kangaroo. At age 18, she performed in the musical feature film, Little Shop of Horrors, as “Chiffon.”
