Dr. Kevin Eidsen, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, was recently featured on a Channel 4 report by anchor Demetria Kalodimos in Nashville about the rise in crime at pharmacies statewide.  Eidsen, a former executive director of the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy, knows about pharmacy robberies first-hand as he was held up by a robber in his pharmacy some years ago

Now Eidsen, who was a community pharmacist owner before going to work for the State of Tennessee Department of Health, uses his personal experience to pass along safety tips and best practices to Lipscomb’s student pharmacists. The first class of Lipscomb’s student pharmacists will head into the working world in May 2012.

He, along with a few Lipscomb student pharmacists were featured in the special report by Kalodimos on Thursday, May 19. Click here to see the full Channel 4 story.
