Lipscomb University’s undergraduate program in human resource management has been ranked among the top in the nation by College Choice.

Housed in the College of Business, Lipscomb’s program was ranked No. 26 in the nation. Other institutions included in the ranking include the University of Nebraska, the University of Pennsylvania, San Diego State University, New York University, the University of Tennessee, Florida International University, the University of North Carolina, Michigan State University, Auburn University, the University of Iowa, Gonzaga University, Boston University and Syracuse University.

Lipscomb offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a human resource management concentration.

"Lipscomb University has one of the best degree programs for human resource management students in the country,” according to College Choice. “It is also a very competitive program. At Lipscomb, students are required to take three Core Curriculums. These include the General Core, the Business Core, and the Concentration Core. Students will also take international courses, which can lead to study abroad opportunities at partner schools across the world. For this reason, students who wish to work in multinational companies will want to pay special attention to this degree."

"This school puts a stringent focus on international business," the College Choice profile of Lipscomb continues. "This is a great focus for HR leaders, because there has been a strong call for qualified candidates who not only have a background in human resources, but who can also take on the responsibilities and challenges that come with maintaining employment and labor relations between cultures."

The ranking is based on a nation-wide survey of college freshmen conducted by the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA. The survey measured student feedback about an institution’s academic reputation, financial aid offerings, cost and graduate success rates. This data was weighed alongside data from other publicly available sources such as U.S. News & World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics, and PayScale.com.

According to College Choice recent estimates indicate that the median annual wage for human resource managers is approximately $105,000. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the industry is projected to grow by approximately 9 percent between now and 2024.
