Music scholarships are awarded to music majors, minors, and ensemble participants. School of Music scholarships are merit-based and may often be added to other scholarships, depending on the student’s overall financial aid package.
Incoming freshmen music majors who have passed the Grade 8 Exam of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music qualify for an ABRSM scholarship of $1000 per semester. Students need to provide exam documentation, but do not need to audition for this scholarship.
Current students who are not receiving scholarships, or who wish to apply for scholarship consideration in a different performance area, may contact the coordinator for their performance area to request an audition.
The Lipscomb School of Music is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Without an arrangement of release, member schools of NASM are not allowed to accept students on scholarship who have previously accepted scholarships from another member school. Please let us know about any other music scholarships you have had.

2017-2018 Scholarship Auditions
Scholarship Auditions for the 2018-19 academic year will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 and Saturday, October 28, 2017; Saturday, February 3, 2018; and Saturday, February 10, 2018. You may contact the School of Music directly to schedule an individual audition appointment (615-966-5929).
