Jeff Thompson Ph.D., is a professor at the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University and an adjunct associate research scientist at the molecular imaging and neuropathology division at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. He is also a volunteer crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line and an instructor at New York University. Additionally, he is currently an 18-year veteran detective in the New York City Police Department (NYPD) serving as the mental health and wellness coordinator.
