The InterGenerate Conference & Children's Spirituality Summit are going virtual.
The two events will occur as a combined online gathering.
About this online simultaneous event:

Our Keynote Speakers

F. Douglas Powe, Jr.
“Intergenerational Ministry in a Post-Pandemic World"
Frederick Douglas Powe, Jr. is the Director of the Lewis Center for Church Leadership and the James C. Logan Professor of Evangelism at Wesley Theological Seminary. Dr. Powe is an ordained elder in the Baltimore/Washington Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
His newest book, The Adept Church: Navigating Between a Rock and a Hard Place, was the number one newly-released church growth book just a month after being released. Dr. Powe is also known for his work in Wesleyan evangelism with titles like Transforming Community: The Wesleyan Way to Missional Congregations and Transforming Evangelism: The Wesleyan Way of Sharing Faith, both co-authored with H. Henry Knight III.
Dr. Powe is a forerunner in African American evangelism. A few of his contributions include: Not Safe for Church: The Ten Commandments for Reaching New Generations, co-authored with Rev. Jasmine Smothers, and New Wine, New Wineskins: How African American Congregations Can Reach New Generations. He holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Emory University (2004), a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology (1998), and a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University (1987).

Rachel Turner
"It Takes a Church to Raise a Parent: Family Discipleship in a Post-Pandemic World"
Rachel Turner is the Parenting for Faith Pioneer at Bible Reading Fellowship in the United Kingdom. Over the past fifteen years she has worked in a variety of churches as a children’s minister, youth pastor, and family life minister. Her ministry, Parenting for Faith, works internationally to equip and support parents to help their children meet and know God, and empowers churches to create a culture where parenting for faith can flourish.
She has authored seven books including Parenting Children for a Life of Faith, It Takes a Church to Raise a Parent, and Parenting as a Church Leader, along with a free Parenting for Faith eight-session video course. She recently released an online qualification for Parenting for Faith through Cliff College. She lectures at theological colleges and training centres, and partners with denominations to help them develop their work in this area. Her books and courses have been translated into Danish and Romanian.

Jared Patrick Boyd
“Abbots & Ammas: Formational Family Life Towards Common Objects of Love”
Jared Patrick Boyd is a pastor, spiritual director, teacher, and founder of The Order of Sustainable Faith, a missional monastic order for the 21st Century.
He is the author of Imaginative Prayer: A Yearlong Guide for a Child’s Spiritual Formation.
Jared is also author of Invitations & Commitments: A Rule of Life.
Jared and his wife have four daughters, and are planting Franklinton Abbey, a new faith community on the west side of Columbus, OH.

Lacy Finn Borgo
“Begin with Listening: Gifts of Eyes and Ears”
Lacy Finn Borgo teaches and provides spiritual direction for the Renovaré Institute, for the DMin. in Spiritual Direction at Fuller Theological Seminary and at Portland Seminary.
Lacy provides spiritual direction for adults through GoodDirtMinistries.org and provides spiritual direction for children at Haven House.
She is the author of Life with God for Children: A Curriculum for the Spiritual Formation of Children and Good Dirt: A Devotional for the Spiritual Formation of Families. Lacy's newest book is Spiritual Conversations with Children.
Her forthcoming book Spiritual Conversations with Children: Listening to God Together will be released in March 2020 through IVP.
