This competition will take place at 1:00 pm at Lipscomb University and all BAM323 participants are invited to stay and enjoy this very special event.

About BAM323

Lipscomb University’s College of Business made a bold decision in 2015 to create a Center for Business as Mission (BAM). This Center was designed to train the next generation of business leaders to develop a theological, social and practical framework for how to utilize the discipline of business to serve others and create impact.

This design also matched our desire to serve our community by extending the conversation outside our institution as a convener of knowledge, experience and resources. That is why we have created BAM323 — to connect those who have been practicing BAM to those who have a deep desire to learn.

We believe BAM speaks strategically and prophetically into the hearts of entrepreneurs, business leaders, church leaders and investors who desire more. Our hope is that at the end of our conference you will not only be inspired but better equipped to live out your faith more fully at the intersection of marketplace and mission.

It seems somewhat providential that the acronym for Business as Mission is BAM. We believe BAM is a holy collision of two disciplines that are often thought of as pointing in opposite directions. But when business and mission are brought together they form a strategy that explodes with an impact that can permeate all areas of business from supply chain to customer service and everything in between.

Three twenty-three reflects the words of an ancient BAM practitioner who wrote these words in Colossians 3:23 — “Don’t just do the minimum that will get you by. Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance.” Like the apostle Paul, we believe one of the most impactful ways to maximize impact, give our best, and work from the heart with compassion, strategy, and sustainability is through the opportunities created in and by the marketplace.
