American Society of Mechanical Engineers

Lipscomb University has a student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

One of our ASME chapter's main activities is tutoring. Junior and Senior Mechanical Engineering students are actively involved in tutoring underclassmen in calculus, physics and statistics. This type of servant-mindedness is part of what separates LU Engineering from other schools.

Another one of ASME's roles is the promotion of the engineering profession. One of the ways we do this is by celebrating engineering each February during National Engineers Week. One of our annual events during E-Week is our rocket car derby.
