Biography

Beau Tackett is an established Nashville guitarist versed in multiple styles from blues to classical to country. Since graduating Belmont University in 2002 (Commercial Guitar Performance), Tackett has sustained a career as a guitarist, playing with artists such as Rebecca Lynn Howard, Trent Willmon, Jake Owen, Sammy Kershaw and Joe Diffie.

He’s currently the lead guitarist for country superstar Blake Shelton, holding the position for 10 years. When not on tour, Tackett finds time to write, record, produce, perform and teach in Nashville. He began as adjunct faculty at Lipscomb in spring 2018 teaching guitar, and is currently coordinator for guitar instruction as well as an ensemble instructor.
