Biography

Dr. Chandler provides leadership with the graduate and professional programs in communication as well as serving as teaching faculty graduate student mentor. He serves as the coordinator of graduate studies within the program. Together with the graduate faculty and collegiate leadership, he advises and mentors graduate students in communication.

He is a highly regarded scholar and researcher on a wide range of relevant areas, and is the author, editor or co-author of books and almost 200 academic and professional papers. His research and applied models have been widely adopted by agencies, associations and businesses. He is an acclaimed speaker and featured presenter. His research into human factors and social scientific variables related to messages, comprehension, understanding, decision-making and human behavior has been applied in a wide range of practical applications and adopted as solutions for fundamental challenges in both routine and extreme contexts.
