Charles G. Capps is an associate professor of management at Lipscomb University where he teaches courses in human resource management, training and development, leadership, and organizational development. Prior to his current academic appointment in the College of Business at Lipscomb he was the Assistant Provost for the Adult Learning Programs. In 2006, Capps retired as a lieutenant colonel from the United States Air Force. During his 21-year military career he served in a variety of human resource management positions including Director of Human Resources at two U.S. Air Force installations as well during deployments to the Middle East. He focuses his teaching, research and consulting activities in the areas of human capital analytics, organizational assessment/change, and servant leadership.
