Counseling Services

The Counseling Center, which is located on the lower level of Elam Hall, provides free counseling and support services to students who want to discuss personal or psychological concerns with a professional counseling staff. We’re here to help you with any problems or issues—academic, career, personal, social or spiritual—and we do so confidentially and at your own pace.

Who's Eligible?

Lipscomb University offers a variety of counseling services provided by licensed professional counselors and marital and family therapists for students.

Access to our full range of counseling services is available to currently enrolled University students only.

The University Counseling Center adheres to very strict confidentiality standards. Any information provided is strictly confidential (exceptions required of all counseling professions include life-threatening situations and cases of suspected child or elderly abuse). Counseling records are not part of the student's educational record. Only the counselor has access to his or her counseling records.  Every client will sign an Informed Consent form which outlines the confidentiality agreement.


The University Counseling Center is located in the lower level of Elam Hall.


Normal operating hours are:

Monday - Friday 
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

If you need assistance during hours when the Lipscomb University Counseling Center is closed, you may talk to your Head Resident, Resident Assistant, or:
