A welcome note from the Dean
Regardless of a student’s final destination, the journey begins here in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. In fact, when higher education was “invented’ centuries ago, it began with education in the humanities.
Lipscomb University is proud to offer an impressively robust College of Liberal Arts and Sciences whose primary role is to prepare every Lipscomb student with critical thinking skills and the ability to embrace innovation and creativity in their education here and beyond as well as, and most important, a sense of their powerful potential as a child of God.
No small task. But we are no small college! From students studying journalism and digital media to students preparing for medical careers (the largest number of our graduates) to students who will have breakthroughs in biomolecular research and students who will embrace careers in the arts, this college is remarkably diverse and agile as we launch students into career preparation in more than 145 fields.
Take a look at what is happening here. If you have questions–as a prospective student or one of our alums – please feel free to give me a call directly. We’re busy, but never too busy to add one more story to our journey.
