Congratulations! We are excited to welcome you to campus soon! Below are some important next steps that you need to take before you can officially join the Lipscomb community

Spring Semester

Steps for spring transfers

  • Complete your FAFSA.
    Please add Lipscomb University to your FAFSA so we're able to send you a financial aid package as soon as possible. Doing so in a timely manner will assist you in gaining a clearer picture of what types of aid you're eligible for at Lipscomb. You must complete the FAFSA to be eligible for any federal aid, the HOPE Scholarship, and other state programs. You can complete the FAFSA online at: FAFSA.ed.gov.
  • Setup your MyLipscomb Account and Lipscomb Email Account.
    Create your myLipscomb account and your Lipscomb email account username and password. If you haven't setup these accounts, follow these directions now.
  • Pay your Enrollment Fee.
    The enrollment fee saves your place in Lipscomb’s incoming class and allows you to register for classes and makes you eligible for transfer advising and class registration which begins on Monday, Nov. 14th. The Enrollment Fee for Transfer students is $215.
    Students planning on enrolling in the Spring can begin paying the Enrollment Fee on October 15th (Refundable up until December 1st).

    You can submit your enrollment fee online by logging into myLipscomb.edu with your Lipscomb email account username and password. Once you've logged into myLipscomb.edu, Click "Student Homepage" under the left navigation menu, then select the "Pay Enrollment and Housing Fees" link in the middle of your screen under the heading "Student Links."
  • Pay your Housing Fee (if you plan on staying on campus).
    Paying your housing fee will save you a space in the residence halls based on availability. You can submit your enrollment fee and housing fee online by logging into myLipscomb.edu with your Lipscomb email account username and password. Once you've logged into myLipscomb.edu, Click "Student Homepage" under the left navigation menu, then select the "Pay Enrollment and Housing Fees" link in the middle of your screen under the heading "Student Links." After paying your housing fee, fee please email housing@lipscomb.edu to reserve a room or call 615.966.6062
  • Work with your Advisor to Select and Register for Classes
    After you have been accepted and paid your enrollment fee, you may begin the advising and class registration process. You will receive your Academic Advisor’s contact information in the form of an email (the email listed on your application) from the Office of Academic Advising. You will communicate with your advisor throughout the registration period to select classes, and your Academic Advisor will provide you with your Alternate PIN number to register for classes. Please note that it is important for the major you specified on your application to match the major you are actually pursuing. If it does not, please contact your admissions recruiter ASAP.
    SPRING ADVISING REGISTRATION PERIODS:
    EARLY CLASS REGISTRATION- November 14th - 18th
    Must Pay Enrollment Fee by November 9

    TRADITIONAL CLASS REGISTRATION - January 8
    Any Spring Transfer students that pay enrollment fee AFTER November 9
    will register for classes on Sunday, January 8 at New Student Express
  • Register for New Student Express (January 8)
    New Student Express is a half day orientation program for new transfer students. All new transfer students are required to participate in this orientation. Your admissions recruiter will notify you when New Student Express registration opens.
  • Check your Lipscomb Email (Gmail Account) Periodically for Notification on when your Financial Aid is Available for Review.
Fall/Summer Semester

  • Work with your Advisor to Select and Register for Classes

    TRANSFER ADVISING & CLASS REGISTRATION PROCESS
    For Summer/Fall 2017

    STEP 1
    You must be admitted to Lipscomb! And the major you listed on your application MUST be your true intended major. If it has changed, notify your Admissions Representative (Aaron Burtch, Reggie Blair, or Shawn Despot) immediately.

    STEP 2
    Log into your myLipscomb.edu account and pay the TRANSFER ENROLLMENT FEE beginning January 20. The Transfer Enrollment Fee is Refundable until July 1

    STEP 3
    Paying the Transfer Enrollment Fee will make you eligible for the next TRANSFER REGISTRATION PERIOD.

    TRANSFER REGISTRATION PERIODS:

    MAY 8-12 must pay the Enrollment Fee by May 1
    JUNE 12-16 must pay the Enrollment Fee by June 5
    JULY 10-14 must pay the Enrollment Fee by July 3
    AUGUST 14-15, 20 Transfer Advance, New Student Express
    *Summer students – the May and June registration periods are your only opportunities to sign up for summer classes!

  • Register for Transfer Advance or New Student Express
    All new transfer students are required to attend one of Lipscomb's new student orientation programs. If you are under 21 (as of August 1, 2017), you will attend Advance and QuestWeek. If you are over 21, you may attend Advance and QuestWeek or instead, you could choose to attend the shorter New Student Express Orientation.   • Discuss Financial Aid
    If you've completed a FAFSA and have added Lipscomb University to the FAFSA, please contact your admissions counselor with initial questions regarding financial aid. If additional assistance is needed, your admissions counselor will provide you with contact information for the Office of Financial Aid
  • Check your Lipscomb Email (Gmail Account) Periodically for Notification on when your Financial Aid is Available for Review.
