The mission of the EAP program is to equip students with the language skills necessary to be successful in life and in academic settings through full participation of EAP courses and campus life.
Our vision is to ensure that Lipscomb University is an environment where meaningful cultural dialogue can take place in safe, respectful, equitable and honest ways while transforming the lives of all students.
- 20 hours of class per week
- one to four semesters of study
- full access to university facilities and participation in student life

- non-credit courses in a non-degree certificate program
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) approved
- SEVP/SEVIS approved program
In order to qualify for the EAP Program, you must meet the English requirement.
We offer courses at varying proficiency levels to meet your language needs.
Faculty and Instructors
Faculty and instructors are fully qualified in the field of teaching English to speakers of other languages (ESOL), holding advanced degrees and qualifications in TESOL, ELL or ESL, and skilled in using effective teaching strategies.
Completion and Certificate
Upon completion of the program requirements, the university will issue a Certificate in English for Academic Purposes.

Lipscomb University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees.
