Varsity Hockey

Lipscomb Hockey has been a member GNASH (Greater Nashville Scholastic Hockey Association) since the 2013-14 season when we first launched as a varsity program. Due to the popularity of the sport, we soon developed a junior varsity program to focus on skills and player development.

From our inception, a number of highly skilled student-athletes have helped put Mustang hockey on the map and given us a reputation for icing competitive teams. In our first season, we qualified for the Hines Cup (Division 2) state championship game. In our third year, we qualified for the Preds Cup (Division 1) state championship and become the first program in GNASH history to play in Division 2 during the regular season and defeat a Division 1 team in the Preds Cup tournament.

Human Performance Weight Room

With the renovation of the human performance weight room located at the Upper School, the enhanced performance center is accessible now for the entire student body. The renovations have expedited our ability to install methodologies based around teaching movement, core strength and proper lifting techniques. Sixteen racks, numerous dumbbell and kettlebell racks and increased space give the athletics program the necessary tools to teach effectively.
