The middle school girls’ soccer program works to build a loving and inclusive Christian community while challenging participants to improve their soccer skills individually and as a team.
The fundamentals of soccer develop middle school girls quicker so that their skill set is higher to perform better together as a team. Practices are designed to include differentiated drills thus pushing each girl to grow. The goals for this team include to compete with excellence and grace, to learn the fundamentals of soccer to carry into high school and to push oneself to learn new skills and tactics of the broader game of soccer.
The middle school girls' soccer team has been in the competitive HVAC league since 2018-19 and has improved performance each year resulting in winning records. Lipscomb Academy prepares student-athletes to be long-term athletes and women of Christ -- qualities that span beyond the outline of one's own soccer field.
The Griffith Family Soccer Field and Complex, dedicated in April 2013, includes a competition soccer field with lighting, a practice field, home and visitor locker rooms, public restrooms, a concession stand and free parking. The field and complex were made possible through a generous donation from Pam and Jim Griffith, Lipscomb University board of trustees member.

With the renovation of the human performance weight room located at the Upper School, the enhanced performance center is accessible now for the entire student body. The renovations have expedited our ability to install methodologies based around teaching movement, core strength and proper lifting techniques. Sixteen racks, numerous dumbbell and kettlebell racks and increased space give the athletics program the necessary tools to teach effectively.
