Middle School Cheerleading

Our 7th and 8th-grade cheerleading program aims to build a foundation of cheer skills, like motions, dance, jumps and stunting.

Cheerleaders attend UCA Cheerleading Camp with the varsity squads and practice correct form and technique with our American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators (AACCA) certified coaches. Our cheerleading program focuses on teamwork and being a well-rounded cheerleader. Cheerleaders are encouraged to learn multiple stunting positions and develop new skills that will prepare them for high school cheerleading and beyond.

In addition, our program emphasizes the verse 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Be cheerful no matter what...." Our cheerleaders promote school spirit by leading pep rallies and cheering at games, and they are encouraged to be leaders on the field, in the classroom and in our community.

Human Performance Weight Room

With the renovation of the human performance weight room located at the Upper School, the enhanced performance center is accessible now for the entire student body. The renovations have expedited our ability to install methodologies based around teaching movement, core strength and proper lifting techniques. Sixteen racks, numerous dumbbell and kettlebell racks and increased space give the athletics program the necessary tools to teach effectively.
