Middle School Boys' Tennis

The Lipscomb Academy Middle School Tennis program offers our younger athletes an introduction to a sport they can enjoy for a lifetime! By participating in our program, players will learn basic skills, techniques and tactics, as well as further develop their knowledge and abilities in a competitive environment.

Our players enjoy the use of NCAA Division 1 courts and have the chance to test their skills in match play within the HVAC, a collection of other private school programs in middle Tennessee. Interwoven into the tennis instruction is a focus on the spiritual development of our athletes. Just as players learn to hit one shot at a time, always keeping their eye on the ball, so too, they learn to take each step in life with their eyes fixed on Christ. We believe the correlations between life and tennis are limitless and seek to use tennis as a vehicle for forming positive relationships with players in hopes of growing their love for Jesus.

Human Performance Weight Room

With the renovation of the human performance weight room located at the Upper School, the enhanced performance center is accessible now for the entire student body. The renovations have expedited our ability to install methodologies based around teaching movement, core strength and proper lifting techniques. Sixteen racks, numerous dumbbell and kettlebell racks and increased space give the athletics program the necessary tools to teach effectively.
